Our Story

About

Trefo Nutrition focuses on whole person nourishment. In fact, "trefo" is the ancient Greek work meaning "to nourish." Of course we are passionate about food and all it can do for the body, but we also know that nourishment isn't just about the foods we eat - it's about how we move our bodies, how we interact with the world around us, how we manage the daily stressors of life, and how we choose to love ourselves.

We offer virtual nutrition counseling with a registered dietitian and are based in Watertown, MA outside of Boston.

Meet Rachel

nutrition counseling, nourishment, registered dietitian

Rachel Caine is a registered dietitian nutritionist, runner, and mom, who loves to stay active in her community. She received her master's degree in Nutrition and Health Promotion from Simmons University and did her dietetic internship at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA.

Rachel is an empathetic, trauma-informed, supportive practitioner who takes an intuitive eating, meet-the-patient-where-they're-at approach. Her greatest joy is watching her clients learn to love food and trust their bodies again. She is firmly anti-diet (but not anti-dietER or anti-weight loss) and believes all bodies are beautiful, healthy bodies when we can eat and move with intentionality and trust in ourselves.

Rachel is currently taking on new virtual clients and accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, UnitedHealthcare, Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, Aetna, Massgeneral Brigham (Allways), and private pay She can also supply superbills for out-of-network benefits.
