1:1 Nutrition Counseling: What to Expect

We warmly and collaboratively work alongside our clients through all kinds of nutrition and feeding challenges and help to foster understanding and the breaking down of internal messages related to diet culture and food messages from their families of origin. We work together to heal our clients' relationships with food and their bodies through mindful and Intuitive Eating practices and special diets where appropriate. We help our clients create and reach practical, sustainable goals and lifestyle practices that ultimately lead them to rediscover the innate joy in eating, movement, and loving the body they're in. All sessions are currently conducted virtually within the state of Massachusetts.

What to expect:

  • Initial sessions are 75 minutes and cover extensive health history, feeding history, and physical movement history

  • Follow-up sessions are 45 minutes. These are centered around nutrition education, goal setting, practical skills, and breaking down long-held beliefs about health, dieting, weight, and our bodies.

  • Handouts, recipes, and other tools provided as appropriate

  • Support around important events

“Are you hungry?” It was a question no one had ever asked me with such compassion, nor a question I had ever allowed myself to grapple with. The truth was that after turning over a food journal, Rachel helped me come to grips with my own avoidant relationship with food.  Rachel was there to holistically care about my overall wellness in a way I’ve benefited from every day since we met.
